​It then happened to be a part of the team of Barbie thanks to the advice of a colleague of ours. So we created a couple of short stories with an ending. Later, a real series of Barbie comics was produced and for some short stories we decided the settings and layouts. The new comic is grounded on an interesting narrative trick: Barbie inherits a detective agency from an aunt of hers, misteriously missing, but the agency is, as a matter of fact, a cover-up for an organization whose aim is to maintain order in psace and time! So, she found herself thrown into different time periods trying to solve somewhat official historical problems. Thanks to this trick, Barbie could be dressed with all those colourful clothes that made her famous throughout time. Princess Barbie, Indian Barbie, Astronaut Barbie, etc. acting in really fascinating storylines. Then the American company Mattel Creations thought that the character was far too sophisticated for a public of little girls and so they decided to create a new series where Barbie was a very rich teenager, living in a luxury villa, who, every now and then, has fun in making obviously successful attempts with different trades and hobbies
